Now we will demonstate the ID field by using a few more screens and records
for tracking an ad campaign. This let's us see how it can link several
records together in an ad campaign. Keep in mind these are only examples,
by using your imagination you can put our personal information manager
system to use in many creative ways.
Not only is it a personal information manager, but it's a Marketing Information
Manager, a Internet Information Manager, and can even be used as a Study
or Project Information Manager.
OK, lets start at the Ad Campaigns Tab:
We entered the below record, and also entered several records in the other
Tabs which we will reference in this tutorial. First we setup the record
that will point to the other records which is shown below and is our Ad
One Campaign. In this example we are using the ID value of camp1, meaning
campaign 1.

Image 1 - Ad Campaigns Tab
As in the previous tutorial, when you
click on the red "Banners" Control Label the below grid pops-up
(image 2) and shows all of your "Banners" Tab's records
containing the ID value "camp1".
This shows us two banners we have running for this ad campaign or promotion.
Notice the ID field has the same value of camp1.
Image 2 - Data-Grid
Now we will double click on the first
record shown in the grid. Note once again "camp1" is the ID
field value in all of the records shown above. See how this feature allows
quick access to any records you have linked or associated together with
the ID field.
Once we double click, it takes us to that record and opens it in the "Banners"
Tab as shown below (image 3). Please note the red control labels on the
right. See how the Ad Campaigns label turned red, telling us there is
a reference to this banner in that Tab. We also know there are articles
and ads (eZines or classifieds) by the other two red labels as well that
reference this banner and ad campaign.

Image 3 - Banners Tab
If we clicked the red "Articles"
control label (red arrow) on the right, the below data-grid (image 4)
would pop-up with two records in the "Articles" Tab which has
the same ID value of 'camp1". Now we know we have two articles that
have been written for this campaign as well.

Image 4- Articles data-grid
If we clicked the red "Ads/Classifieds" control label then we
would see we have two ads coming out in eZines that are included in this
ad campaign or promotion as shown below.

By using the ID field you can easily
view and jump to any record, plus easily view and access those records
you have linked together by using the ID field. You can also have an overview
of any records such as ads, banners, and articles for a specific promotion
or campaign by using this feature.
We will be adding more tutorials. This is the second in the series.
