This is a visual tutorial for using the ID field in our personal information manager software. Of course it's more than just a PIM, it manages all of your personal information, online information and marketing/affiliate information if you are a marketer too. Thats why we call it the Internet Information Manager. It is also known as the Super Affiliate Software package as well for those that do affiliate marketing.

We also have others such as students, writers, and IT techs studying for certifications, that use it for research and study purposes, by saving all their research and study information in the Projects, Websites and Articles Tabs for quick reference.

OK, lets start at the Contacts Tab:
We entered the below record, and also entered several records in the other Tabs which we will reference in this tutorial.

Contacts Tab

As shown above by the arrow, when you click on the red Websites Control Label the below grid pops-up and shows all of your Website Tab's records containing the ID value "bud1".

When the control labels are red it indicates there are other records with the same ID value in that specific Tab, in this case the Websites Tab. Notice how the other labels are grey. The below records were records previously entered from the Websites Tab and assigned the same "bud1" value by the user and are websites owned by the person in the Contact Tab record shown above (me).

Now we will double click on the first record shown in the grid by the red arrow. Note "bud1 is the ID field value in all of the records shown. Only the records with the same ID value will be shown when clicking on the red control labels. (That's what we call them.) This allows quick access to any records you have linked or associated together with the ID field.

Once we double click it takes us to that record and opens it in the Websites Tab as shown below. Please note the red "Contacts" control label on the right.

If we clicked the red "Contacts" control label (red arrow) on the right, the below data-grid (image 4) would pop-up with the one record for Gary Knuckles in the Contacts Tab which has the same ID value of 'bud1".

However if we clicked the blue Websites control label (blue arrow in image 3) then the data-grid pops up showing the same records with only the same ID as shown in image 2 above.

Now if we clicked the "Show All" shown above by the black arrow (image 3), the below grid (image 5) pops up. It shows all the records within the current Tab for easy browsing and access by double clicking.

By using the "Show All" or the control labels you can easily view and jump to any record, plus easily view and access those records you have linked together by using the ID field.

We will be adding more tutorials. This is the first in the series.
